Developing Relationships in Inclusive Basketball
About DRIB
KASEC’s Inclusive Basketball Program, launched in 2016, uses basketball to bring individuals of all abilities together while building coordination, confidence, communication, teamwork, and meaningful connections.
The DRIB Manual Toolkit was created with support from the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) Grant to help other organizations bring this inclusive model to their own communities. Drawing from KASEC’s experience and the contributions of professionals and program leaders, the toolkit provides practical guidance, activities, and strategies that can be adapted to different settings, even without an Adapted Physical Education (APE) teacher or professional basketball coach.
We hope these resources make it easier for communities everywhere to use basketball to create connection, growth, and a true sense of belonging.
