Developmental screening(발달선별검사)
Why Is Developmental Screening Important for Infants and Young Children?
It is very important for children to follow age-appropriate developmental milestones. One important way to monitor this is through developmental screening.
Through a simple screening process, developmental concerns that might otherwise go unnoticed can be identified early, allowing children to receive the support they need. Because of this, developmental screening is one of the most important first steps in supporting the healthy growth and development of infants and young children. Early childhood is a critical period when the brain has tremendous potential for growth and change. When developmental challenges are identified early and appropriate therapeutic and educational support is provided, children have a greater opportunity to catch up developmentally and prevent delays or disabilities from becoming more severe over time.

▪ Check your child’s developmental milestones!
Review the developmental milestones below and see whether your child is demonstrating age-appropriate behaviors.
If your child is not demonstrating age-appropriate behaviors or is progressing more slowly than the developmental milestones listed, it may be a sign of developmental delay. (In particular, if there is a delay of more than six months, we strongly encourage you to receive a developmental screening.)
Do you have concerns or questions about your child’s development?
The online developmental screening is conducted by having parents or primary caregivers of children ages 6 to 60 months complete a questionnaire directly through the developmental screening website.
